Planning and directing the operations of the tooling production area;
Leading the Supervisors with respect to volume, cost, and quality of their production area, meeting their production schedules and delivery dates;
Ensuring that the build, tryout, and approval of production tooling meets customer requirements and manufacturing standards;
Overseeing and coordinating the repair of existing tools and support of engineering changes;
Reviewing product design for tool construction, assisting in developing quotes for new tools;
Providing technical support to operating departments needing assistance.
Education: 4-year degree, 2-year degree or High School/GED with appropriate years of experience.
Required Skills:
8-12+ years of injection mold building experience in a Tool Shop environment;
3+ years of lead or supervisory experience;
Coaching and leadership skills;
Organizational and planning skills;
Proficient in computer usage including MS Office applications;
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
