Rhonda has taken her training and live singing experience and combined them to create a technique that actually works for live band singers. ?In my experience, voice lessons are usually designed for classical or Broadway singers, and the techniques don?t translate well to rock, pop, blues, metal, country, and jazz music. My coaching method will teach you how to improve your tone and extend your range without sounding like you are an opera singer; gain more stamina so that you can sing with a band for 4 hours; safely sing with a raspy, gravely, screaming sound without injuring your voice; improvise over rock, blues, or jazz chord progressions; sing harmonies (in a private lesson or with your band); write song lyrics, melodies and harmonies; and other issues that you may want to work on. I will design a specific coaching plan based on your needs."

8-Week Performance Class
Learn performance techniques from Rhonda with accompanist Troye Kinnett (John Mellencamp's keyboard player).
Rhonda believe that the best way to learn about vocal performance is on a stage in front of a group of people and that singers can learn a lot about performance from watching and listening to the advice given to other performers. Therefore, each class will begin with a group lesson that relates to improving tone/ range and emotional vocal delivery; and each student will also perform weekly on stage with monitors, a microphone and an audience (classmates), and will be given individual coaching.
My philosophy behind singing is that everyone can sing! Notice, I didn?t say that everyone can sing on pitch, but everyone has a voice to express him/herself. Granted, there?s nothing more beautifully pleasing to the ear than to hear such vocalists as Mariah Carey, Steve Perry, Jennifer Hudson, or Michael Buble sing with exquisite tonal perfection. But there?s also something very moving about the performances of such artists as Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, Janice Joplin and Melissa Etheridge. Although these artists aren?t considered vocalists with pure and perfect pitch, their emotionally-driven vocal performances have won the hearts of many avid fans.
With this in mind, I design my classes, to find the emotional voice in every student?from the well-trained shy singer to the experienced performer who is interested in increasing his/her range and stamina.
